De Castella Team Trophy

Put a team together and register to participate in the de Castella Team Trophy competition. Teams will be scored in a cross country format where the lowest score wins. An additional incentive to encourage participation will involve each team participant receiving a "credit" of two points per person registered.

There is now also the inclusion of a second teams category for the largest team registered. The winner of the largest team registered will WIN a signed "Run Like Deek" running singlet mounted in a frame. Fantastic for the office and a great piece of memorobelia to own.

How are the scores calculated?

1. Overall position for the first 5 team members who finish each event will be aggregated.
2. Each team participant will receive two points credit which will be deducted from the total above
3. The team with the lowest score will win

All team results will be published on the website following the event.

The winning team will be announced at presentations on 5 August 2012

Team FAQs

Q. What do I need to do to participate in the De Castella Team Trophy?
A. Simply register a team name or join a team to be automatically entered into the competition.

Q. Can we register team members from any event?
A. Yes, all participants registered in your team, regardless of event registered will contribute to your team totals

Q. We have 22 people registered across all events, how many points do I have?
A. You will receive a credit of two points per person. The total of 44 will essentially be deducted from your team age group scores.

Q. We dont have a full team ready just yet, can we still register as a team?
A. Yes, you can still register the team members that you have now and add additional team registrations to this as you go with our events staff.

Q. A team member has already entered to run and they did not include our team name - what can we do?
A. Dont worry, your team member can be added to the team, please contact us if you wish to transfer to a team.

Remember all team details need to be finalised by 2 August 2012.
